How to Get Internet Radio Airplay

There are literally thousands of music-only radio stations on the web around the world.  Independent artists, and even established artists, no longer have to rely upon conventional bricks and mortar radio stations to get their music heard.  Besides, record promotion on offline radio stations can be quite expensive and exclusive, which explains why we keep hearing the same superficial artists over and over.  The Internet is an open field to promote your music to online radio stations at virtually no cost at all.  In fact, many musicians create their own radio station that is dedicated to their music only.  Actually, this is a good idea because it allows your fans to provide feedback and suggestions.  Also, you can test different versions of the same songs on your audience in order to determine which tracks will actually make it onto the final album.  If you choose not to start your own Internet radio station dedicated exclusively to your music, you can conduct a quick research on the Internet and submit your music to the stations that play the same genre of music that you perform.

You have been given the basics and a starting point, go from there!
