(X)Cross-Pollination Across the Nation Tour™

***2005 Dates and Venues will be updated soon!**

Tour Background

Starting this year, DEMO will select seven very diverse independent recording acts to be a part of its annual (X)Cross-Pollination Across the Nation Tour™.  The (X)Cross-Pollination Across the Nation Tour™ is an annual college tour that travels to the Top 30 drinking and partying college towns in America.  The tour, which kicks off in early September each year, promises to be one of the most fun-filled traveling road shows in the annals of rock and roll that would upstage even the Rolling Stones.  For acts wanting to be considered for the tour, please mail a professional press kit to us postmarked no later than 04.30.03.  The acts selected for the tour will be contacted by DEMO representatives by 06.15.03.  Here are the following genres that will be represented in the tour:

Folk

Rockabilly

Black Rock

Punk Rock

Reggae

Latino

All-female Alternative Rock

Tour Criteria

All selections will be made by DEMO and are final.  Below are the criteria that prospective acts must meet to be considered for the annual tour:

bullet

The recording act(s) must be signed to an independent label.  The independent label doesn’t need to be a major distributor or even have national distribution.  Local or self-distribution is fine.

bullet

The act(s) must record and perform original copyrighted music.  Adding other people’s music to your repertoire is OK, but the majority of your performance material must be original.

bullet

The act(s) must have at least one record (or single) in current release.

bullet

Act(s) must own their professional musical instruments.

bullet

Access to van or other form of transportation for transporting artists and their equipment.  DEMO will provide gas, expenses, and a salary for all touring acts.

bullet

Must show proof of musical group ownership or at least a DBA from the act(s) home state.

bullet

 Professional press kits.

bullet

All acts must have contact numbers where they can be reached 24-hours per day.

bullet

All acts must have an e-mail address.
